\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLe maire, Normand Pelletier, rappelle qu\u2019une \u00e9tude avait r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de construire 205\u00a0nouveaux logements par ann\u00e9e pour une p\u00e9riode de cinq ans pour accommoder la croissance de la population. \u00ab\u00a0Dans notre coin, nous avons de la difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 avoir du logement abordable\u00a0\u00bb, note-t-il.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLe conseil s\u2019efforce donc de trouver des investisseurs pour collaborer \u00e0 de tels projets. Une importante parcelle de terrain de 200\u00a0acres dans le territoire de l\u2019ancienne ville de Dalhousie a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9e pour y d\u00e9velopper plusieurs options d\u2019habitations comme des maisons unifamiliales et des \u00e9difices \u00e0 appartements multiples. \u00ab\u00a0Nous voulons faire un genre de subdivision dans la municipalit\u00e9 pour accommoder beaucoup de gens. L\u2019ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9e, nous avons envoy\u00e9 une demande \u00e0 la province et nous attendons de rencontrer la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019habitation du Nouveau-Brunswick \u00e0 nouveau dans les prochains mois\u00a0\u00bb, ajoute-t-il en souhaitant une partici\u00adpation financi\u00e8re de la province et du f\u00e9d\u00e9ral pour mener ce projet \u00e0 terme. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEn parall\u00e8le, le conseil poursuit ses efforts pour am\u00e9liorer les services de sant\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion pour mieux r\u00e9pondre aux besoins de la population. Normand Pelletier a vivement d\u00e9plor\u00e9 la fermeture \u00e0 long terme des services d\u2019obst\u00e9trique dans la r\u00e9gion du Restigouche, ce qui force les familles \u00e0 se d\u00e9placer \u00e0 Bathurst pour les accouchements. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLe recrutement et la r\u00e9tention du personnel de sant\u00e9 semblaient repr\u00e9senter un obstacle particulier pour la r\u00e9gion. Les maires du Restigouche avaient alors propos\u00e9 un projet de garderie en milieu hospitalier pour notamment attirer les jeunes professionnelles et professionnels avec ce service en milieu de travail. Avec un soupir, Normand Pelletier a confi\u00e9 que ce projet n\u2019a pas encore abouti, mais que le conseil municipal ne baisse pas les bras et continuera ses efforts.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
