Comme plusieurs municipalit\u00e9s de la province apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9forme municipale, Grand-Sault s\u2019est aussi dot\u00e9e d\u2019une planification strat\u00e9gique qui va de 2023 \u00e0 2027. Et parmi les nombreux projets \u00e0 l\u2019ordre du jour, l\u2019un concerne le service de police.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Le conseil municipal vise \u00e0 terme que l\u2019ensemble du territoire de la Municipalit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale de Grand-Sault soit desservi par sa force polici\u00e8re.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dans cette optique, elle n\u2019a pas tard\u00e9 \u00e0 passer \u00e0 l\u2019action en adoptant une approche proactive pour faire face \u00e0 l\u2019agrandissement du territoire et aux besoins accrus en effectifs. Un nouveau programme d\u2019incitatifs a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 afin de faciliter le recrutement de nouveaux agents. Concr\u00e8tement, la Municipalit\u00e9 prend en charge une partie des frais de formation des personnes inscrites \u00e0 l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie de police de l\u2019Atlantique \u00e0 Summerside, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00cele-du-Prince-\u00c9douard, en \u00e9change d\u2019un engagement \u00e0 venir travailler localement \u00e0 la fin de leurs \u00e9tudes. Ce programme porte d\u00e9j\u00e0 ses fruits, puisque quatre nouveaux policiers sont en poste \u00e0 Grand-Sault depuis septembre dernier.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Avec cette croissance du personnel policier vient \u00e9galement le besoin d\u2019infrastructures ad\u00e9quates. La Municipalit\u00e9 envisage ainsi la construction d\u2019un nouveau poste de police, mieux adapt\u00e9 pour accueillir l\u2019\u00e9quipe grandissante et r\u00e9pondre aux exigences du service.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
